C.W. Dixey & Son is a prestigious brand with a long history. Established in London 1777, worn by some of the worlds most influential people such as Churchill and Napoleon among several royalties from England and Sweden over the years, C.W. Dixey & Son is a brand with unique history and heritage. The company is today still going strong keeping its values by remaining an independent family business.
All frames are handmade in France, focused on quality and exclusivity with an understated elegance. The current collection “Chartwell” finds its inspiration in the frames created for Sir Winston Churchill for many years ago. The 8 models which constitutes the Chartwell collection comes in three classical colors: black, dark tortoise and light tortoise. Both shapes and color settings are true to the history and in a true classical spirit you get your C.W. Dixey & Son eyewear together with an elegant handmade leather case.
I just love the beautiful images you can create with optics and light.

In LOVE with the leather straps from our Online Store! The brown one is currently sold out though, but we still have them in red and black/brown. Happy shopping!
This beautiful collage is featured of Leisure Society‘s website at the moment. I like to gather items that go well together in a picture. Inspiring.
Swedish Triwa displayed their collection at Silmo in Paris this fall. They’ve chosen really nice colors for their acetate frames! Read more about Triwa here.
Right now we have really nice leather sunglass traps from Triwa at our Online Store!

This one works great as both optical and sunglasses! Here you can see Triwa’s colored templetips. FUN!

One of most prestigious opticians in Amsterdam
Carrying brands such as Catier Eyewear
Here you can sit down in peace trying frames with your optician
Here you find classic monocle’s of all styles
When I visited Amsterdam I discovered the prestigious optician Schmidts Optics at Rokin 72, 1012 KW in Amsterdam. The atmosphere is classical luxurious and has been looking almost the same since the establishment in 1866. A eminent old school optician offering prominent brands and classic optical items such as a wide range of monocle’s.
When I was in Amsterdam I ran into this cute Japanese boy from Tokyo! I was so amazed about his colorful vintage/street style, perfectly matched together with a vintage frame. When I say frame this time I really mean just a frame. No prescription or window lenses on. Just a cool frame as a great accessory!
Apparently this is a huge trend in Japan I’ve heard, is it true? Does anyone know where it stems from? So interesting! Hope to see more of it in Europe soon.
I was just browsing jaspal‘s instagram and found these fun glasses!
