I bumped into this picture while surfing on bon’s website and it just caught my attention. Love the whole look, combining a classic female look with a balanced electric futurism. The sunglasses are very delicate, they almost look like Christian Dior eyewear did back in the 80’s.
Just saw some new awesome colors from Selima Optics! Lots of colorful ones and many transparent ones!
Edouardo in a lovely Violet Horn acetate.
Andy in this lovely Emerald Green. What a great shape, very Andy Warhol!
Virgine in Tortoise / Navy. Here you can really see the different layers of acetate.
Andy in Grey Christal. Love love love gray acetate frames! The light goes through them and make them shine but they can also look brownish dark gray depending on your skin tone and the light!
Designer Damir Doma and the eyewear brand MYKITA teamed up during a thee year project for the DD01.
The DD01 is using a mix of fine materials such as stainless steel and warm natural horn wich resembles Damir Doma’s collection using coarse, stiff fabric and soft flowing textures.

Since Theo is a Belgian brand, it’s awesome to see them here and there on the street. I think this acetate combo is perfect for this gentleman! Looking good mister!
Here is a follow-up to the previous post from the Ørgreen Press Event, this time showing some of our favorite masculine shapes.
We especially like the bold lines in the frames, giving a true masculine look with a lot of attitude. Some of the frames are especially good for wide heads and big noses, which isn’t so easy to find all times.

Ørgreen has merged a mutual mindset with exclusive furniture brand Republic of Fritz Hansen to produce a series of Arne Jacobsen Swan chairs featuring the same Copenhagen skyline design as a special edition collection of eyewear by Ørgreen.
Through this partnership, the similar design values between Ørgreen and Arne Jacobsen are believed to be especially expressed through one of the world’s most iconic designs. This is the first time Arne Jacobsen Swan chair is made in two different materials, wool for the front and black leather for the back. Likely to the København frames, the Swan chair is also available in 5 carefully chosen tones.
Special edition Københaven frames and Swan chairs will be available for purchase directly through Ørgreen/Republic of Fritz Hansen.

Last week I visited Ørgreen Optics press event here in Stockholm at wonderful Nobis Hotel. It was a pleasure seeing all the novelties, there are a lot of Bonocle favorites to come.
Ørgreen latest collection, presented at Silmo 2012.
Nowadays the collection also contains many female shapes in interesting colors. All frames are made of titanium and acetate, handmade in Japan and designed in Copenhagen. At their workshop in Copenhagen they’re 15 people working with Ørgreen, where one of them is a full time colorist. You can really tell there is a specialist, seeing the color settings, nothing is left to chance. Most frames are two-colored, with amazing combinations.

This is a limited color edition, due to the fact it’s a vintage acetate from the 60’s which isn’t produced anymore. So you better hurry getting this edition before it’s to late!
For the ladies:
From the new Ørgreen collection you will find delicate female shapes in soft colors. Big up for their fine selection of femal frames, slightly caty and oversized in a balanced way giving a modern female look.
A separate post will come up tomorrow featuring more masculine shapes.

Met this handsome gentleman at the lovely Christmas Market at Place Sainte-Catherine in Brussels, Belgium. His bright smile and red glasses instantly made me happy!
Here are two prototypes for apps that help you find the sun by merging weather data with your location and time. They both won several awards for their ideas!
Finding the right sunspot isn’t always easy, especially if you live in a big city where buildings are covering the sun. “Bright Light” is an application for Ray Ban
that helps people to get the most out of the sun and their sunglasses. It was made by students from Berghs School of Communication
Coppertone Sunsight will show you the sunniest spots in New York. It was made by Bryan and Daniël in collaboration with Hyui Yong Kim.
