My co-worker Jasmin Yaya spent the weekend in Paris at the Silmo fair and I can’t wait to see all her pictures and hear all the stories she has to tell.
So brace yourselves for a whole bunch of news from her!

Björn Granath at Birger Jarlsgatan in Stockholm
This gentleman looks very classy with his transparent frames from Oliver Peoples. Very handsome!

On the Street… Birger Jarlsgatan, Stockholm
The other day Jasmin and I run into this handsome guy at Birger Jarlsgatan in Stockholm. I love his relaxed autumn style, which he perfectly matches with his eyewear from the Danish eyewear brand HAN.
The eyewear branch has two important fairs a year and one of them is the Silmo fair in Paris. Every year they arrange Silmo d’Or…
The SILMO d’Or reward the creativity and the inventive spirit for a whole profession. But still more it underlines the interest of the professionals, producers and opticians, for the recognition of a quality control mark.
In the category “optic frame” you find five frames nominated, below you find our favorites:
Vue Dc “Lyz”. Visit their website (HERE).
l.a. Eyeworks “Rialto”. Visit their website (HERE).
This lovley sunglass from MYKITA, named “Joanie”, where featured at London Fashion Week. It has a perfectly cat style, that isn’t too much. No wonder my friend Jasmin Yaya chose “Joanie” (but as an ophthalmic frame) for the Silmo fair in Paris.
We promis to show you a picture of Jasmin wearing Joanie as an opthalmic frame as soon as they’re done!
The other day Jasmin and I had the chance to look and try the whole collection from MYKITA, Moscot and Munic Eyewear. I just had to try this huge mylon sunglass from MYKITA, with mirror lenses. BIG like!
Mylon is a new material and technique for manufacturing frames, which MYKITA is the first to use for making frames. Also see This Post.
