French eyewear designer Thierry Lasry and Swedish Acnes Studios have collaborated on these handmade sunglasses for Spring 2011. They are thick and very straight plexiglas frames with mirrored flat lenses. Avaliable in blue, silver and gold (as seen in picture).
But lovliest of all is the inner temple text: Summer nights and long warm days. Yes, please!

Henrik Vibskov‘s AW11 show at Copenhagen Fashion Week last week really made a statement with the bright reds, oranges, blacks and whites. PLUS: eye exam frames on all models! Every optometrist has one. They’re not very comfortable but they sure look cool – Lady Gaga meets Willy Wonka. Fun and futuristic.

We had the chance of looking at the newest of the newest MYKITA sun collection. Now we really can’t wait for the sun to come back!
MYKITA is an übercool Berlin based eyewear brand making really comfortable sunglasses with excellent quality and durability. The metal frames are really light as they’re cut out out of a superthin sheat of steel and then milled into the right shape – this in combination of the screwless contruction (screws usually unscrew themselves) gives the MYKITA frames a very unique look and feel.
Lately we’ve seen lots of round retro-style shapes and colorful sunglasses in general from all eyewear brands! MYKITA interprets this in a very modern and sleek way:

MYKITA has a collaboration with Uslu Airlines, offering three different colors for you to match your aviators with your nail polish! We like!
Today these lovely Oliver Peoples Riley in Dark Mahogony arrived! They all have the same color code “DM” but you can clearly see how much they vary in color. The frames are made of an acetate sheat which the front shape is cut out from. Depending on the nuances and the shadings of the acetate sheat the frames can vary a lot. This is one of the important reasons to try your frame before buying it! You never know how the color will look of a photo only.
This makes each frame unique!
