I’m big fan of Capitals sunglasses, all made of wood with lenses from Carl Zeiss Vision.
Above you see my favorites.

Earlier this week I met beautiful Henrika, from Helsinki. She’s currently a optometrist student in Finland and are now in Sweden for her internship at Bågar & Glas.
Anyhow, she has a lovely blog about eyewear as well. The other day she wrote a post about me and my frame “Earl” from MYKITA. Chech it out (HERE)!

Me, working at Bågar & Glas this week.
On the cover of the magazine you see Erik and Emilia, founders of E&E.
Inside the magazine you find two pages about us at Bonocle! We’re so flattered for this wonderful article.

I’m in love with these wonderful frames from Oliver Peoples! They have relaunched a modified version of the classic MP-2 (the original came in smaller sizes). They’re all made in the old factory situated in Japan, and are therefore of a great quality. The collection also offers a clip-on in the same style. This is perfection.
I’m so excited about this frame! Oh so amazing! So much character, so much image and truly a cool frame.
Inspired by the Cazal 607 and named Grandmaster the Dita frame is for the hip hop fan. This particular one is handmade of matte black zyl-acetate and 18 K gold.
Danish Kilsgaard‘s frames come in acetate temples and very nice matte colorful aluminum fronts. The green is amazing!
Guys, if you’re a true Bonocle-fan you just have to see this movie above. It’s a short clip that gives you a look into how Capitals wonderful wood frames are made.
Capital is a small group of young people handmaking unique sunglasses in the USA, only using hardwoods sourced from the USA and optics by Carl Zeiss Vision. Dedicated to that Capital offers high quality products and is committed to having a positive impact on the world.
As you might know by now, both Jasmin and I like handmade eyewear with a story. Thats why we like Capital as well!
Salt. Optics is a California based eyewear brand. They’ve made very classic frames of the best materials and great quality since 2006 but with a lot of experience. The frames are handmade in Japan, which means excellent quality in both acetate and metals. The shapes and colors are simple yet great.
The Yates is a new thin 60’s inspired frame yet modern. It has custom décor rivets, the colors are special yet subtle like the matte black or the asphalt gray going from almost black to transparent gray.

The new Marni frames I saw in Paris are probably the best collection so far. They are still very feminine and colorful but slightly larger, which will make them more weareable. The colors are red, blue, turquoise, yellow, green, puple, brown, beige and pastels. Most frames are a combination of transparent and opaque, matte and glossy or two-tone colored.
I instantly found my favorites:

Look at the fine details.

Love the color combination. No one does it like Marni.
