NEW IN! Leisure Society

Very exciting: We finally got to open the Leisure Society box! They are just lovely.

Leisure Society’s frames are certainly not like the average frame. This is something really special. The detailing is rich and super fine. Some frames are 24 K gold plated. The sunglass lenses (being scratch proof, anti glare, 12-layered anti reflective treated and 99.9% distortion free) are of the best quality you can find.

We recieved both opftalmic frames and sunglasses. We also love the careful thought put into the details of the etchings in the metal and the case, boxes for the case, cleaning cloth and the lovely booklet that each frame comes with and the lookbook and display material for the shop. Everything is made so carefully. These are truly high end frames.

All frames are handmade in Japan wich gives them the great quality and they were all designed by Shane Baum, the founder of Baum Vision. You can read more about Leisure Society and watch the lovely movie in a previous post we wrote.

Rockwell X Waiting for the Sun

We are SO waiting for the sun here in Stockholm!

These sunglasses make me so happy! The streetwear brand Rockwell collaborated with Waiting for the Sun to make these special “La Une” sunglasses in colorful BAMBOO! Talk about special! Each frame comes with a limited edition scarf.

Jeremy Scott and Linda Farrow have once again teamed up for unusually shaped eyewear, this time in the shape of two hands! They also have other frames called “Cross” and “Wings”, looking exactly what they sound like. Can be bought here.

Big metal frames

As we’ve been written before, we’re so exited to see all the news from the MIDO fair in Milan. Here you can see a picture of some new frames from MYKITA that I’ve got from the MIDO fair. Jasmin and I have only one thing to say: big metal frames is the new shit!

I just discovered a fun hand made eyewear brand! Just take a look at these awesome and crazy sunglasses! They really make a statement and I love the thick acetate.

Isson is an Australian brand designed by Catherine Federici. She’s really playful with the shapes and colors!

Cutler And Gross X Cacharel

London based Cutler And Gross has yet another collaboration with a fashion brand. This spring they’ve collaborated with Cacharel: It’s one frame (Cutler And Gross’ own M0737?) in four different colors: Watermelon, Lemon, Nude and Pink. This spring I’m especially fond of the nude colors but pink is very sweet too.

Matt Black is the New Black

Paul Frank usually does cool and colorful frames, but as you can see of the samples below they aren’t that colorful as usual. This ones are in a matt back shape and with a lot of attitude! As we’ve been telling you before, we can definitely expect to see more of these matt colors. Matt black is the new black!

Barba Amarilla

As you might know by now, we have been visiting Vasuma to look at their latest news. Here is one of their coolest sunglasses, in a very special color: plum.

Yesterday Jasmin and I went to visit the Vasuma guys in Old Town, Stockholm. They showed us their latest collection and told us a lot about their brand values, which we’ll tell you more about later. Now, I’ll show you one of my favorite sunglasses from the new collection:
