Inspiration of the day – Working Opticians

This is my favorite eyewear advertising picture of all times. Made by Oliver Peoples, sending out the message of handmade products by Working Opticians. Simply amazing, as the brand Oliver Peoples was founded by Larry Leight – an optician himself. It all started with selling vintage frames in his boutique and became later on à own eyewear brand with worldwide recognition.

Tom Ford Sunglasses in Vogue Germany

Look what I saw on Vogue Germany: these really nice sunglasses from Tom Ford! Over-size round shape made of acetate, but looks as nice as horn.

I will later on show you more pictures of this frame, as I visited Le Specs in Berlin to try them on.

I’m very much enjoying my last days in sunny Berlin. On the picture I’m wearing my favorite prescription frame “Amber” from the MYKITA Decades collection. It’s the most comfortable frame I’ve ever had – light weight yet firm, which means it never slides down my nose.

We have been introducing you guys to the DITA x Thom Browne collaboration before (see HERE). I must say the frames coming out from this collaboration are simply stunning, so well done and amazing details. This is a real craftsmanship with top quality and design.

We have been showing you the more classic ones before, why I now want to introduce you to these lovely colors from this years collection. Classy meets pop – love it!

RVS EYEWEAR – The Very First Female Frame

Meet the new release from RVS: Celine.

Inspired by the shape of a butterfly, with colors reflecting the natural colors of a butterfly’s wings in the sun. No wonder the color combination looks so much alive! This is RVS first frame completely dedicated to female and I must say I’m very exited about what’s next to come. Great job!

The frames will be presented at Silmo this year and available in store SS13.

I could buy plenty of the Hampton model in all different combinations: as sun, as optical, in different sizes, in matt colors, shiny colors, crazy colors… So many great combinations!

I specially like the gradient of the lenses, it really makes the sunnies look alive. Always a good choice for big sunnies, then they don’t look to big on you.
