Dita Lancier
Dita has launched a new luxury sunglass collecten called Lancier. They come in 5 cool styles and are all hand made in Japan. The quality is exceptional, as always from Dita.
Dita Lancier is something for all the gentlemen who are looking for a pair of real solid sunglasses.
The lenses have nearly super power quality. There are three types of lenses, each designed for a different activity. Each type of lens has a symbol of the intended activity.
- Grey Polarized for sailing.
- G-15-Non_Polarized for flying.
- Brown Polarized for driving.
All frames come with both standard straight temples and wrap around temples and are changeable with just a push on a button!
Just like when buying a really good watch all of the individually numbered frames come in a big box including a lovely vintage looking leather case, cleaning cloth, skrewdriver, looped temples and a warranty card.
Caught in the Net

Photo: Cutler And Gross
The mermaid in the picture is wearing Cutler And Gross 1029 in Nude Net. Looks like net stockhing or fishing net. Actually there is a layer of net in the acetate!
The frame has a great classic shape which allows a crazy color or fun pattern like this.

Wood grain
l.a. Eyeworks always has crazy shapes and colors. And now they have the craziest textures as well. It looks and feels like wood grain – feels very soft and natural – but its actual acetate!
Even other brands, such as Vasuma and Theo have made wood-inspired frames. What do You think? Bonocle loves it!
NEW IN! Leisure Society
Very exciting: We finally got to open the Leisure Society box! They are just lovely.
Leisure Society’s frames are certainly not like the average frame. This is something really special. The detailing is rich and super fine. Some frames are 24 K gold plated. The sunglass lenses (being scratch proof, anti glare, 12-layered anti reflective treated and 99.9% distortion free) are of the best quality you can find.
We recieved both opftalmic frames and sunglasses. We also love the careful thought put into the details of the etchings in the metal and the case, boxes for the case, cleaning cloth and the lovely booklet that each frame comes with and the lookbook and display material for the shop. Everything is made so carefully. These are truly high end frames.
All frames are handmade in Japan wich gives them the great quality and they were all designed by Shane Baum, the founder of Baum Vision. You can read more about Leisure Society and watch the lovely movie in a previous post we wrote.
Here’s a few of close ups. Enjoy!

Even the small metal piece on the nose pads are etched.

The boxes for the case for the frame.

Optical frame in lovely frosty acetate.
Rockwell X Waiting for the Sun
We are SO waiting for the sun here in Stockholm!
These sunglasses make me so happy! The streetwear brand Rockwell collaborated with Waiting for the Sun to make these special “La Une” sunglasses in colorful BAMBOO! Talk about special! Each frame comes with a limited edition scarf.

Photo from Opening Ceremony.
Jeremy Scott and Linda Farrow have once again teamed up for unusually shaped eyewear, this time in the shape of two hands! They also have other frames called “Cross” and “Wings”, looking exactly what they sound like. Can be bought here.
Gabriel Dawe – Spectrum

Photos from Gabriel Dawe.
I recently read a text by Suzanne Labarre about the awesome artist Gabriel Dawe. Gabriel created his latest amazing installation Plexus No. 4, using over 50 miles of string! They make me think about the optical spectrum. Enjoy and be inspired!
Isson
I just discovered a fun hand made eyewear brand! Just take a look at these awesome and crazy sunglasses! They really make a statement and I love the thick acetate.
Isson is an Australian brand designed by Catherine Federici. She’s really playful with the shapes and colors!
