Selima Optique – The London Collection

Selima Optique recently had an event in New York to launch the “London Collection”. A Vintage high-end collection curated by Selima herself and Kajal, currently a Business School student from London who is set to launch her eyewear company upon graduation later this year. Very exciting!

The collection looks awesome from what I’ve seen so far, specially this vintage sunglass from Cazal:

Meet Baldessarini

Meet Baldessarini, founded in 1993 by Werner Baldessarini, the rewarded former Vice President and designer of Hugo Boss. The eyewear is classic and minimalistic with fine details in the acetate.

Look at the acetate! It looks like wood!

Tomas Halld’n, friend and former collegue, is now the awesome Swedish rep for Baldessarini invited me to his place and showed me the entire collection.

I love Tomas’ animals, and there’s lots of them. This is Hedda, she is a Whippet. Here I’m wearing my favorite from the Baldessarini collection, the 5105.

The Corn Snakes needed some accessories.

Geckos need glasses too…

Barton Perreira – Sunglass // MIDO 2012

Meet wonderful Barton Perreira!

Few eyewear brands succeed with all models in their collections. Barton Perreira does. At MIDO I had a look at the whole new collection and was amazed of all the great shapes one single eyewear brand can come up with.

In the collection you will find classic, very refined and well done round shapes, such as this one:

Also, you will find more feminine and luxurious shapes, such as this one below (this is my favorite). I love the retro-luxury look of this sunglass! The enamel is amazing!

Even the classic aviator will be available, in an elegant version called “Mitchell”. By combining acetate with metal details, the classic aviator gets a lux sports look. Very masculine and good looking.
