At the Victoria & Albert Museum Shop you can buy beautifully handmade jewellery by the French Eyewear brand Derome & Brenner. The jewellery is made out of silver and celloluse acetate which most glasses also are made of. Derome & Brenner has collaborated with Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent.

A Collaboration with Rad Hourani resluted in these Mylon frames called Rad. It’s a crazy shape and I dont think you could do this in acetate since the lens is slid in from above. Be sure to check out Mylon, we’ll probably see some great things in this material!

Oliver Peoples has made a frame inspired by Gregory Peck as the attorney Atticus Finch in the classic movie “To Kill a Mockingbird” from 1962.
A round shape frame and key hole bridge. Love the horizontal plaques on the front and the temples, it really gives it the perfect look!

Our favorite Graz teams up with Chronicles of Never to make these very dark, think sunglasses. They really make a statement!
Oliver Peoples X Takahiro Miyashita The SoloIst. Glasses
Oliver Peoples and Japanese fashion designer Takahiro Miyashita teamed up for a collection called the SoloIst.
All frames are made of deadstock vintage materials, aged metal parts. And there are clip on sunglasses to match! These warm and dapper frames are currently only released in Japan, can be baught here.

Le Corbusier
Le Corbusier, pseudonym for Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, the famous French-Swiss architect and artist known for contibuting to what is called “Modern Architecture”. He was very loyal to one type of frame, in fact that type of glasses are called Le Corbusier or “Architect frames”.
This type of frame has lots of character, is bold and simple. A great feature is that even strong prescriptions look great in a round think frame like this. Frames inspired by the Le Corbusier frame:
