David Nilsson, co-founder of HYDE’s Spectacles.
I had the chance to meet up with David, founder of HYDE’s Spectacles, the other day. Very nice to meet him and having a look at the novelties of HYDE’s. I really liked how David wears his own design perfectly matched with a grey coat.
See their collection online (here).
Lovely photo from the 20’s found here. Not that different from today’s eyewear fashion, almost 100 years later!
Here are some quick snapshots taken with our phones during the press days here in Stockholm.

The Eyewear guru Julia Gogosha-Clark sent me pictures of her fantastic eyewear collection. If you’re in L.A. make sure to visit her stores!
This is a large and very tasteful collection with a few one of a kind items. She stores them in a vintage dental cabinet and holds so many great brands but more importantly really nice designs, colors and unique shapes!
I really admire your taste and collcetion!
This is Julia’s Thierry Lasry Drawer!
The clown was a gift from Moritz from Mykita, It even has Julia’s name stamped inside. Julia sold one just like it to Lady Gaga.
Love the round sunglasses!
Julia’s dog Odessa guarding her massive collection, if anyone gets any ideas.
Only fine eyewear brands here: Theo, Claire Goldsmith, Anne et Valentin, Selima Optique and Cutler And Gross.
The pearl strand is a custom La Loop chain made custom for Julia.
The colorful cat eye is a bespoke from Claire Goldsmith, and says Made for Gogosha in the temple.
I think I could spend a whole day in there.
The boutique Pour Vos Beaux Yeux on 10, rue Alexandre Mari in Nice, France carries eyewear from 1890 to 1900.
Elias, a friend of mine took this picture when he was in Nice, France. Check out his blog Fed Up. There he writes about amazing food from all over the world – and of course: Nice!
For All Our Ladies: beautiful feminine glasses coming up!
They come in many variations: large or small, colorful or natural tones, sharp or more rounded – as long as it’s a cat shape!

The Swedish brand Oscar Magnusson launches a new collection, called 237. It’s a new concept, that offers interesting shapes in a thin acetate. I’m a big fan of thin frames with a nice shape, so I really like this concept. For once you can wear a big acetate frame without allowing the frame become too dominant.
…So why don’t go a little bit more crazy and add some color to the face?
One of the most beautiful spectacle cases I’ve ever seen is this one, from MARNI.
Made in Italy, from genuine leather.
