SILMO 2012 // MYKITA Mylon SS13

You’ve seen MYKITA‘s previous Mylon series. It’s a total new way of making eyewear!

Read all about it hereĀ – from powder to a solid frame!Ā (Instead of a block that is carved out). The weight and feeling of the Mylon material is similar to wood yet its flexible and very durable.

The first collection was super crazy. The second collection slick and sporty sunglasses.Ā The SS13 collection shown at the SILMO fair in Paris holds thinner ophtalmic frames in round and aviator shapes.

GAAAH!Ā I love these. Thin, round and blue.

This time the ALTEWAISAOME SS13 collection includes a very important accessory: sunglasses! ALTEWAISAOME has designed a bold collection of sunglasses in collaboration with swedish eyewear company KunoQvist.

“ALTEWAISAOME’s sense for details and their high level of creativeness together with KunoQvist’s dare to be different philosophy leads to this cutting-edge 2013 Spring collection of sunglasses”
says Marcus GƄrdƶ founder of KunoQvist.

Founded in 2009, ALTEWAISAOMEĀ is a fashion brand that offers an eclectic mix of Scandinavian simplicity and international high fashion. The SS13 collection is inspired by geometry, and is based on the artwork of Raul Mazzoni and his paintings of geometric shapes:

Garrett Leight & Mark McNairy

The shape of Garrett Leight and McNeairy’s round metal frame is perfect. The collection, two metal frames made in Japan and one acetate made in America were first seen at Mark McNairy’s SS13 runway show last week.

“We looked back at the incnspicuous weirdos, maniacs, creeps, and people that don’t give a damn what anyone thinks.” McNairy says. Think guys like Aristotle Onasis, Charles Bukowski, Allen Ginsberg, Groucho Marx, even Donald Sutherland as Hawkeye in MASH.

I love the temple tip loop.
