MYKITA Mylon SS13

You’ve seen MYKITA‘s previous Mylon series. It’s a total new way of making eyewear!

Read all about it here – from powder to a solid frame! (Instead of a block that is carved out). The weight and feeling of the Mylon material is similar to wood yet its flexible and very durable.

The first collection was super crazy. The second collection slick and sporty sunglasses. The SS13 collection shown at the SILMO fair in Paris holds thinner ophtalmic frames in round and aviator shapes.

GAAAH! I love these. Thin, round and blue.

At the Nudie at Solo Event, Stockholm, Sweden

At the Nudie Jeans event at Solo in Stockholm I met a guy wearing these very classic 50’s style tortoise frames from Japanese Tana-Gokoro. The makers behind the brand have been making eyewear for the past 80 (!) years.

Dinner with Legends of Eyewear

Last night Barbara and I had the privilage of having dinner with some of the most interesting and influential people in eyewear.

Larry, Garrett and Elena are in Stockholm for the weekend to do trunk shows and celebrating Bågar & Glas’ 30th anniversary.
