SUMMER EYEWEAR INSPIRATION 2013 // Part I
I teamed up with the talented Dominique Hernandez to create a series of photos for the Swedish Optometry Magazine Optik. For this spread I wanted to use regular eyewear and not only sunglasses just because it was a summer issue. Stay tuned for more photos!

The other day I got the chance to see the complete collection of Giorgio Armani and PRADA, coming out in the stores now for SS13. I’ve a favorite from each collection!
From the Giorgio Armani collection:
This beautiful little red piece, with an amazing matte surface and lovely double nose bridge. Retro with a modern fusion of color and elegant silver details.
From the PRADA collection:
This pure retro look, available in a range of awesome colors! Simply lovely! Can’t decide on which color to love the most? I want them all. The blue/gold feels like the most classic choice, while the silver/mirror one is the party choice and the soft orange & pink ones have the perfect 70’s summer look.
Kenzo FW13
Not only did Kenzo show awesome eyewear for FW 13, they also had eyes printed all over! “It’s all about protection and warding off evil spirits,” Humberto Leon and Carol Lim said of the eyes. As if they would need it with all the love they’ve received lately.

The 85th Academy Awards – The Eyewear
Congratulations to all the winners and to the nominees for the The 85th Academy Awards! Although not many tend to wear their glasses for the red carpet, a few did – and they looked great! Last year we saw many more. I didn’t see any women with glasses though, did you?

Grand Prix IOFT 2013, Tokyo, Japan
Oliverd Goldsmith won the Grand Prix Award as “Best Ladies Frame” at the recently held IOFT Optical Show in Tokyo.
The frame is called Library and was a design that Oliver Goldsmith (the first) made in the 1930’s but in those days it was real tortoiseshell. Today it is only made in acetate!
