When in Bologna, Italy do not miss one of the best optician’s I’ve been to:
Ottica Giulietti e Guerra
Via Clavature, 24
Garrett Leight in the window.
There you can find most of the top eyewear brands worth mentioning such as Oliver Peoples, Garrett Leight, MYKITA, Theo, Harry Lary’s, Thierry Lasry, just to name a few. They have a few stores in Bologna and this is one of them. Very nice staff too!
Harry Lary’s beautiful acetate!
Thierry Lasry always had the craziest acetate!
The lovely Caroline Abram that makes the beautiful eyewear accessories we’ve posted about a few times about also makes fantastic glasses.
As soon as I saw this one I fell in love. Just look at the matte finish! Love the comination of round and cat eye!
Alivia also comes in the color Cocobolo.
The new Oliver Peoples Kincaid has all the great details of a slightly smaller feminine aviator. It’s not droopy, the top bar is perfectly curved and the titanium finish is slightly matte.

There is something about blue lenses, and some have even made it their hallmark. Colored or tinted lenses definitely make your glasses unique!

I chose a few of the glasses at the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards. We could see both bold, chunky and retro acetate frames as well as more subtle metal glasses.

Meryl Streep got bleeped for cursing that she left her glasses on the table when she held her speech for winning Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in “Iron Lady”.

Garrett Leight, son of Larry Leight (founder of Oliver Peoples), is new in the eyewear business as a designer, but has already designed a lot of different frames that have been success!
Below you find one of his newest frames, named “Altair”:
…and they come in this beautiful eyewear case:
Oliver Peoples, “Racine”
This frame is perfect for all the classy ladies out there. It’s slightly oversize and caty, classy yet modern, and from now on you can get it in this lovely color-combination! In my opinion, this might be the best color from Oliver Peoples I’ve ever seen.
